On January 7, solstice 9th, 2019, LR classification society specially invited our company to conduct PAUT and TOFD training for quality management personnel of maersk shipowner and dalian shipbuilding industry group.
First by the LR classification, chief expert John Durkin Xu Chunbiao, zhang qiang, with my company technical staff to participate in training personnel to introduce PAUT TOFD technique and the basic principle and comparing the advantages of traditional detection methods, and interpretation of maersk owner field questions one by one answer, the answer of the owner for professional very satisfied, and give a high praise.
After that, the technicians of our company will conduct the on-site operation demonstration. The simulated test tube and the simulated test plate were tested on the spot. Instrument operation skilled, fast detection speed, high defect detection rate display intuitive. Under the guidance of technicians, the participants of the learning experience the strong testing charm of PAUT and TOFD through hands-on operation.
Finally, the PAUT and TOFD maps were evaluated and processed, the functions and display modes of each map were introduced, and the defect display was measured. During the learning process, the participants asked questions to the interpreters from time to time, and the interpreters explained the map in combination with the scene scanning. All the participants agreed that the study benefited a lot.
